You are free to roam anywhere on our property. Our pond is about 3 acres in size for fishing. We have chickens for your farm fresh eggs, a cow, and 3 resident dogs that everyone seems to love. Lots of yard, nature, birds, and peace and solitude.

The Department of Natural Resources has a 25-year lease on part of the Army Corps' property to conduct a variety of habitat management measures aimed at increasing food, shelter and nesting areas for numerous wildlife species.

The site was opened in 1986 and operates under a long-term lease and management agreement between the Illinois Department. of Natural Resources and Ameren Energy Generating Company. This agreement grants authority to the State to open the lake and certain lands to the public for recreational activities, such as fishing, boating, picnicking and hunting.
